Why 'Mystic'?
I chose this title, with humbleness, because it best described the way I went about my search for the truth: a way which is set out in the Collins dictionary as a system of contemplative prayer and spirituality aimed at achieving direct intuitive experience of the divine. As I have had no 'system' as such I would change the word 'system' to 'attitude' or 'state'.
I follow a philosophy that has neither label nor limits.A Quotation* (This is you too, dear reader, so visualise each line carefully):
As the droplet is to the ocean,
I am.
As the lick of flame is to the fire,
I am.
As the sunbeam is to sunlight,
I am.
As the Great Spirit is,
I am.See Also*: Click

About me? This is not something I like to do but, since I ought to say something, let me say that underlying my “earth life” [this time around] has obviously been the impetus to seek the Truth and this search has resulted in a book,The Milk Is White, which I have now released, free, on the Web. {See below}
I suppose the book, as a whole, tells more about me than I could but the Preface and the two articles entitled Authorship of This Material in Part Two will shed more light relative to me and its contents.
When I first wrote Part One of the book in 1996 I had a mental picture of my having in my hands a beautiful, white, fantail pigeon which I released, with my hands going upwards, to fly free and land where it would. When friends helped me on to the Internet the opportunity to make that mental picture a reality was realised.
Although I do not consider myself an important person I am an open person, so if anyone has any questions they would like to ask regarding me I am quite happy to answer!
However, I point to the title page of the book wherein is this exhortation: Ignore the messenger - heed the message!
PERCEPTION AND THE ESSENTIAL TRUTH OR REALITY.
It is often said that the Truth or Reality is dependent on the perception of the beholder and is therefore a variable. This is only true up to a point as illustrated in the quotes below.
1. Along the way there are many springs for us to quench our thirst for knowledge and all are from the same source within the mountain. As we climb we experience the Truth from our peculiar standpoint at the time. However, since there can be only one ultimate truth, when we reach the top we all come to the same pinnacle of knowledge and state of being.
Another analogy of the Truth is that of a multifaceted diamond. Imagine one hanging in the middle of a group of people. Each person has a different perspective depending on such things as light intensity, angle of reflection, the height of the person, their distance from the diamond and so on. If they choose to move around they will encounter varying aspects of the stone as well as varying aspects of the light. Yet, the stone and the light essentially are unchanged.
2. The “Point” of Reality.
In The Milk Is White the souls' Earthly journey is likened to a climb up a mountain peak, with each one taking a different path. It is stated that, because a peak ends in a point, and at a point there can be only one Truth, all souls find the same Reality, the one Truth.
Some may dispute this conclusion and state that there can be more than one truth at the top so let us look at the Reality:
The disputant would be correct from the perspective of practical science because any peak consisting of matter has as its very top an infinitesimal particle of matter which, no matter how small it is, has a top surface, and any surface can hold more than one thing.
However, although this would be the reality in the material world and an understandable perception of the mind, the fact is that when we bypass the mind and its limitations, we find that mathematically, or according to theoretical science, there is an absolute point. Therefore, in this context, that which is found at the absolute point is the Absolute Reality - just one Reality or Truth.

THE MILK IS WHITE
Over two thousand years ago a Hindu sage said that, irrespective of the colour of the cow, the milk is white. He was alluding to the fact that there is but one spiritual Truth irrespective of which Master expounds it. This book brings together the essence of the teachings of the major spiritual Masters and shows how the Truth embodied in these teachings can be applied in one's life to achieve peace and joy.Read more > http://www.themilkiswhite.com/
To me it was so clear, concise, accurate and easy to digest. I was most impressed. I felt it was a great feat and a real contribution to this needy world. I felt clarity as I was reading it. I love the book and enjoy its gentleness too.
**********
I have come across a lot of this information scattered here and there but this book brings it together very well. I am glad I bought it.
**********
A book of great Truths, told simply as only a man with such rich experiences and insights could. A beautiful, distilled message.
**********
What a pleasure to read such a beautiful book written by a friend. A personal story that somehow resembles my truth.
**********
This book has helped me immensely in my search for spirituality, understanding and wisdom.

Ian's Note: I have also had some feedback like “I could not understand a thing!”; “It went straight over my head!” as well as crashing silence!
