Ians Dictionary
1. In the past, so as to differentiate between mental activity [commonly called thinking] and thinking [by which I mean those thought processes that do not involve the mind], I coined the word mentivity. Today, as a result of something new that is happening with me, I have coined another two words.
2. To differentiate between the Sanskrit darshana generally meaning anything seen and sometimes meaning something not seen with the eyes; a vision which has many interpretations; an epiphany, which implies something instigated by God, and a realisation which has a mental as well as a spiritual connotation, I have coined the word neopt, pronounced nay - opt, and its various derivatives, from old German and Latin. See below.
Words:
blisstasy n. that spiritual 'quality of being' or 'state of being' which is beyond the physical/mental (emotional) experience and surpasses joy, bliss, love et al.
blisstatic adj.
mentivity* n. mental activity commonly called 'thinking'.
ment* v. think; adv. to think; n. a thought.
menter* n. one who ments.
menting* v. thinking.
moul n. soul or mind - since I neopt them to be the same.
neopt (nay-opt) v. neopts, neopting, neopted. to see without the eyes. [from ne (D) + ops (L) = no + eye]
neoption n. something seen without the eyes.
neopter n. one who sees without the eyes.
neoptic adj. a neoptic incident, occurrence etc.
[*Note: The word mentality, meaning state of mind, already exists in the English language.]
Phrases:
Emotional self-sufficiency. Unlike where all emotional needs are met this phrase describes that state of being where there are no emotional needs. In other words where emotion is concerned a state of balance/harmony exists

In THE CONTEXT in which my understanding of dyslexia has been established through ART and ”dyslexic artists” and the evolving neuro-scientific understanding of how the brain processes input and output, I am sure you will all understand how IT has been particularly difficult for me to put ALL my understanding into words.
Words are dangerous for dyslexics ! … such that they have to be said in a multi-layer contextural manner … in order that “the picture of what is to be said” can be communicated in as few words as possible, rather than the 1000 words which the majority of lexics seem to require to do the same job.
Bravo & ALL hail to Ian for likewise converting his “neoptions” into words …
I neopt that this [need new one word for need-require-for everyone ] to be seen by many people!
Have you thought of sharing it on the Multilingual pod, Ian? Balder had a discussion going there, about new languages.
Hello Meenakshi, if what you mean is that a single word is needed for “needed/required for everyone” I am almost sure that such a word exists. However, it escapes me at the moment so I will give it time and return.
I will have a look at the multilingual pod and, perhaps, have a chat to Balder. Many thanks.
It seems to me that what I was digging up was “universal” but this only takes care of the “everyone” part; I have so far failed with regard to needed/required as a suitable combination with “universal”. It needs some work!
Ian, I might ramble a bit, but bear with me, pelase:
If ia new word can be slanted to be something that is needed but also required; e.g. your list needs+others need from your list. A word that looks two ways. I feel maybe you'll understand what I mean.
Because if I say:
this blog needs to be seen by everyone: it seems to imply that the need is of this blog; but I mean, that the blog would benefit others as well…So perhaps that's what I can do, say that!
Using existing words: I'd love this blog to be seen by others as well. It would benefit us universally.
YES! Sometimes the existing English words are all we need, after all.
Sorry for rambling!
Ian & Meenakshi, I agree that this post & it's creativity would be very welcome in the miltilingual pod ( as Meenakshi suggests)
Meenakshi, after considerable deliberation I have concluded that since what we are trying to express can be expressed in two words, both existing, there is little purpose in coining a new one. In the case of neopt etc. and moul the absence of a suitable word prompted the coining. I admit that where neopt is concerned there is the existing word insight but there is no verb or adverb for the latter whereas neopt and its derivatives cover the required range.
Mikey, feel free to copy the post to your pod. You can copy the text only or the whole entry - as you wish.
I like your words. I use the coined word “maundering” for mental wandering. Fun word that helps focus on a task in art.
