My response to posts in The Dream Garden at Gaia in a thread highlighting the fact that many people seem to have similar recurring dreams when they are young:
‘It certainly seems as if just about everyone has such dreams when young, thus illustrating a common spiritual purpose being fulfilled by dreams.
If we overlook the physical age and focus on the fact that what we see as a child is, in fact, an ageless embodied spirit entity needing guidance at a time when it is still (perhaps) getting used to the body, life and environment it has taken on for the current life, we become aware of how nurturing and caring is the way this whole business of life actually is; despite the harshness of what we have to experience at times - all of our own making, mind you - the way things are organized exudes perfection in every sense!’

I had recurring dreams when I was little, too (about churches and cathedrals, of all things!) but haven’t experienced such a thing in ages. I like your interpretation.
Siona, unless you had an aversion to, or any intense negative feelings toward, churches and cathedrals the symbolism was positive, perhaps portending a spiritual pathway. The fact that the dreams ended means that their purpose was accomplished!

Ian, this is very interesting. Oddly enough, I used to have this very strange recurring dream when I was in my mid-teens. I am still trying to figure out what it meant … there was always a cemetery … it was split in half and divided by an arch bridge that had a type of river with a waterslide underneath. As you slid down the waterslide under the bridge, the two sides of the split cemetery were filled with pieces of bones. Gruesome? Definitely for a teenager … but I had it at least once a week … I can’t even remember when it stopped, but it did… so as you said to Siona… the purpose was accomplished.
Rachel, may I suggest that you post this dream in The Dream Garden [the link is in my profile page] for the benefit of those there and so that you may get some feedback? If you wish I will comment there too.
Alternatively, if you would rather that I commented and did so here let me know.
Actually, I should probably post it… considering I belong to the group and have yet to post anything of significance yet… thanks for the reminder, Ian!
