Dewalakande Group main factory c.1968. : The Dewalakande main factory c.1968. There was another one on Dunedin Division.This factory manufactured about 2,000,000 lbs. of top grade white rubber some 80% of which was sole crepe for footwear. This sole crepe was said to be the best in the world. This quality was not of my doing but I did improve it by properly filtering the 11,000 plus litres of water used per hour in its manufacture.
