“Quo Vadis” has been translated in a number of ways with slight to major variations: “Whither goest thou?”, “Where are you going?”, “Where are we headed?” “Where do we go from here?”
I think the focus is on the unfolding, evolving and ripening of our souls, whether individual or collective.
And that mandala with its deep meaning, beauty and symbolism just reflects it perfectly…
Hi Darina! In Latin, quo means where and has, I think, a qualification to it; vadis comes from the verb vardo conjugated as vado, vadis, vadit = I go, you go, he goes. The question is attributed to St. Peter as put to the Christ: “Quo Vadis Domini?” hence the “Whither goest Thou, Lord?” NB. I failed in Latin in college but apart from the question regarding “quo” what I have said it correct. As for its general meaning it means, as you say, where do you go (in reference to the spiritual path) with as many variations of that as are possible without losing the essential meaning. Have a look at Michael,s blog, photo comments and other links in his garden - which is what I call the zaadz home pages (see my profile!) - and elsewhere. Very interesting! I must also add that I think the message is a very simple one - the simple fact that spiritual growth, and progressive enlightenment, are dependent on our choices at any given moment. Love, Ian
Quo vadis cum “Quo Vadis?”
That is “tomorrow” - no worries “now”.

We are all inevitably evolving towards the known - full enlightenment.
